Classic Tales are children's stories, refined and adapted over long periods of time, becoming favorites because of responses evoked in the listener.

The Little Red Hen offers a repetition of language, set within a predictable series of events, and a sequential plot.

Activities in this Theme Unit focus on developing the learner's auditory, visual and motor sequencing skills. "Sequencing skills are part of the foundation necessary for preparing a child for reading and writing."
